Bastia–Toulon ferry: what our readings show
On the Bastia–Toulon route, our readings of 1 July 2026 surface a single company: Corsica Ferries. There is therefore no cross-company comparison and no codeshare gap to read on this route — all 251 of the best foot-passenger prices recorded come from Corsica Ferries, as do the 255 recorded for each of the car-and-cabin formulas.
Foot passenger in a reclining seat: the trough is in November, not the other way round
For an adult foot passenger in a reclining seat, the ticket starts at €34.60 in November, the month with the lowest recorded average at €37.32. The most expensive month on average is August, at €60.73 — but that average hides extremes: August's minimum drops to €29.60, one of the lowest prices of the whole year. Sorting the eight cheapest dates confirms it: the lowest observation is €29.20 on Monday 19 October 2026, followed by €29.60 on Tuesday 4 August and €29.90 on Monday 12 October. Those eight dates, all Corsica Ferries, run from €29.20 to €32.20 and are spread across July, August and October.
On the day of the week, the gap is modest but clear: Tuesday is the cheapest at €38.87 on average, against €44.33 on Sunday and €43.80 on Saturday. The gap between Tuesday, the cheapest, and Sunday, the dearest, thus exceeds five euros on the foot-passenger ticket.
With a car and a cabin: the calendar flips
As soon as you add a car and a cabin, the advantageous month changes. For one adult, car and cabin, July is the cheapest month on average (€138.74) and starts at €86.00 on Thursday 2 July 2026. The dearest month is June, with a recorded average of €212.89. For two adults, car and cabin, the pattern is similar: July cheapest on average (€169.37, from €110.00 on 2 July), and August the dearest at €253.05 on average.
The family formula — two adults, two children, car and cabin — stands apart again: it is February that posts the lowest average (€217.11), from €189.00, while August climbs to €331.05 on average. Here too August is paradoxical: its average is the highest yet it holds the formula's lowest observation, €168.00 on Sunday 9 August 2026. For every formula with a vehicle, Monday is the cheapest day on average (€143.50 for one adult, €175.48 for two), Saturday the dearest (€161.59 and €196.84 respectively).
Leaving from another Corsican port
To reach Toulon, Bastia is not the cheapest departure port in our readings. The lowest minimum goes to L'Île-Rousse (€27.30, Corsica Ferries), ahead of Ajaccio (€28.20) and Bastia (€29.20). On the foot-passenger reclining-seat average, it is Ajaccio that comes out lowest (€40.61), ahead of Bastia (€41.23), Propriano (€46.48) and L'Île-Rousse (€46.51); Porto-Vecchio is the highest, at a €40.70 minimum and €65.35 on average.
Coverage of the readings
Our data covers January, February, March, then June to December. April and May do not yet appear in the readings: no average and no minimum is available for those two months on Bastia–Toulon as of 1 July 2026.
